Pedro Trujillano

Pedro Trujillano Pedro is a Partner at Cartagena Capital, based in Barcelona, Spain. He has worked more than 18 years in the technology industry, both in operational and investment management roles, gaining a unique combination of deep technical knowledge and venture capital fundamentals.

Prior to joining Cartagena, Pedro has been several years involved in the venture capital industry in setting up a VC fund, raising capital, structuring fund operations, evaluating companies for several investor’s portfolios and closing several deals.

Prior to this, Pedro was a senior manager for the Internet operation of “La Caixa”, the largest Spanish savings banks, where he was leading strategic and complex technology projects. He was also involved in the merger of two banks in France and selling portfolio companies of a technology fund.

Pedro has also worked as a management consultant in Mitchell Madison Group, a spin-off of McKinsey. Pedro began his career in Hewlett-Packard and in Meta4, a successful Spanish software start-up, in technical management roles. He then worked several years for Carl Zeiss, developing software and hardware applications for the automotive and precision engineering industry.

Pedro has a degree in chemistry, and holds a PDD degree from IESE Business School, Barcelona/Spain. Pedro speaks fluently Spanish, German and English.
