Timo Peter

Timo is an Associate at Cartagena Capital. He has more than 7 years VC, management and entrepreneurial experience in the cleantech and energy sector.

As a former member of the investment team at Glotec Ventures, a Munich-based €70m family office, he focused on cleantech and energy investments, including the investment in ExtraEnergie, the fastest growing electricity and gas retailer in Germany. During this time he was a co-founder and board member of a cleantech start-up (smart metering /smart grid). Prior to joining Glotec Ventures, Timo developed a corporate finance model for another cleantech start-up specialized in renewable energy projects. Before that, he had various international consulting mandates in a variety of cleantech areas including project management, project finance, structuring of (non-) performing loan deals and feasibility studies across Europe, Canada and Ukraine. Previously he worked at a Munich-based Private Equity Fund of Fund firm, focused on European private equity and venture capital transactions.

Timo has studied Bioengineering with focus on renewable energy & new technologies in Munich and holds a degree in Patent Engineering from the University of Hagen.
