Jan Vocke

Jan is a Partner at Cartagena Capital. He has more than 10 years of start-up, management and entrepreneurial experience in the digital & media / media finance sector and has a proven track record as a deal maker. As an entrepreneur he was instrumental in arranging financing for several motion pictures through cross-border transactions across several legislations, involving complex financial engineering. Before that, Jan was part of the management team of a larger German media group which he joined as one of the first employees and then helped taking public in one of Germany's most successful IPOs in the sector at the time. Next to his last position as Deputy Managing Director, he was also responsible for corporate M&A transactions throughout the media and internet sector, including one of the first VOD platforms. He gained additional buy-side experience while working at a London-based Venture Capital firm providing early-stage funding for companies in digital media, advertising and publishing.

Jan has studied business administration in Germany and the United Kingdom and he holds an MBA from Cass Business School in London.
